“Linking Open Access publications to data – policy development and implementation”

OpenAIRE presents an OpenAIREplus workshop in conjunction with The Nordbib Conference 2012 Copenhagen, June 11-13, 2012
The OpenAIREplus project will create a participatory service for the cross-linking of peer-reviewed research publications and associated datasets. It is recognized however that policies and guidelines have to be in place to support research organisations to manage their research output and data.
This workshop is aimed at OpenAIRE NOADs, library managers, researchers, research funders, repository managers, journal editors and publishers, research administrators. The final interactive session will enable participants to talk to the experts, and get to grips with some data management issues.
Take away’s from this event include:
- Preparation for writing an institutional data management policy
- Clear overview of funder’s responsibility and requirements towards data availability and management
- Understanding of linking research publications and data (including a researchers’ perspectives in Life Sciences and Social Sciences and Humanities)
